Carrie and Phil - westlake village, california

carrie and phil on-line proofing website

sometimes a wedding can take months and months of planning. leading up to the final week can even be more challenging than the whole planning process. coordinating everything from making final alterations to the brides gown or

the grooms tux, making sure all “out of town guests” have arrived safely and are comfortable and informed of the days event etc, etc, etc. now throw in that you want to have a “destination wedding” back in your hometown of westlake village, ca.... and you live in london!

carrie and phil are this couple. awhile back karen and i met this beautiful, energetic, artistic “glowing bride” that we instantly fell head over heels at first meeting.

carrie shared with us her love for her phil, her music, her style and love of our photography. the challenge that faced carrie and phil was to have a wedding spread across two continents and witnessed by family and friends from their youth to today. that meant traveling for 80% of their guests. sharing their story with karen and me really made for some truly amazing and unique moments throughout their wedding day. not wanting to steal them away too long from their family and friends we relied heavily on our stylized lifestyle approach with a hint of laughter.

i can’t begin to express the day and how carrie, phil, their family and friends embraced us and allowed us to share their lives with them…”if only for one day.” the stories, the laughter, the humor, the love, the love of family and most importantly the celebration was in large quantities but ended way too fast. if you can’t hear it in my post i am sure you’ll see it our photographs…we had a blast and would spend another 14hrs with carrie and phil again tomorrow!

cheers!

Hiring a SKILLED Professional

if you see a guy like this at your next event you may want to consider hiring a professional.

although this young photographer has more skilled training than most... you may want to consider hiring his dad, a skilled and talented professional photographer n’ gifted artist.

and who knows maybe you will see the young budding photographer along side his parents, one day, at your next event... for now he is enjoying being a power ranger!

morphin time!

Amy and Dustin – valencia, california

amy and dustin...together forever and laughing all the way!

amy and dustin on-line proofing website

we were all in awe when amy came out of her limo to see dustin for the first time before walking down the isle. she looked great! we had a few minutes with the family and bridal party at the bridgeport lighthouse and it couldn't have been nicer. it is always nice when the location and the weather matches the beauty of the bride.

the ceremony was held at amy and dustin's church that was under construction but you could not help but to witness a building of a community.

the girls really enjoyed showcasing their black vans and kicking it with amy.

right inside the embassy suites vestibule hosted a great location for a classic mantel peice of amy and dustin

a portrait of amy inside the restaurant on the way to the reception… you see what we are doing here? portraits and editorials are happening through out the day.

without interruption or missing a beat, this hollywood classic of dustin waiting to join amy as he looks on.

during amy and dustin’s first dance the upflow and bubbles was certainly a surprise to all the guests and romantic highlight of… shania twain’s “from this moment.”

the celebration of this newly married couple was at full tilt once the reception hit.

having time to take it all in as the evening came to a close amy and dustin enjoy sharing their last dance.

love this image of the chocolate cupcake it’s leaning ever so slightly to the left and oh so yummy!

amy and dustin have something very special between them. it is a love for each other with great friendship and incredible humor. they are truly best friends. the day was filled with awesome moments throughout and yes, amy and dustin knew what they wanted... they wanted each other.

although the evening came to a close, this is just the beginning for this beautiful couple. congratulations!
